Gladys Agulhas is the best possible person to combate social exclusion and give the joy of the art in the same time to everybody around her. I have been priviliged to take part of her work and it is my pleasure to recommendate her to this award

The three finalists are truly amazing and each one of them is doing excellent work. which makes it very difficult for one to decide on whom to vote for. It would have been much easier if all of them were working in the same area or addressing the same issue.
You have Evelina, a truly remarkable and inspirational woman doing her thing in fighting HIV & AIDS Stigma, I am sure Evie can give any woman of her age (or even younger) HIV positive or negative, a run for their money, literally. Positive Heroes show, they don’t tell, that one can live a fruitful and exciting life with HIV. Evie has climbed Kilimanjara, how ’bout that!
And then you have Gladys, with her groundbreaking work with people with disabilities, I’ve had the privillege of seeing a group of her young girls with disabilities doing the Nike Rockstar Workout, man, you should have seen them! The project is called Bona siya fana - look we are the same. I must say, even I could not pull some of the moves that those kids could easily pull off!
And then, Nonhlanhla with the 3 Tin League, what an innovative idea! This game brings such fond memories to any woman who grew up in the township. And for Nonhlanhla to have the vision of turning this game into a formalised sport, and then throw in the recycling factor in the mix; I tell you that is just awesome!
Now, who to vote for? That is a good question, as with most people who avoid answering a question, I too say, that is a very good question!

Dear Voters
The 3 Tin League would like to thank all the sportswomen and men who contributed to us being able to make it to the top 3. We are eternally grateful.
We would like to appeal for your vote once again, by doing so you would be assisting the youth from under developed or less privileged areas to a better life or lifestyle.
Some of the challenges that some of our 3 Tin League members face are:
Not having someone to take care of them due to family problems such as parents who are unemployed and are unable to fully support their families or parents who are alcoholics.
Some of the girls that participate in 3 Tin used to beg for money in the streets and another sold vegetables instead of going to school.
There are many other challenges that some of the 3 Tin League members face that are to broad and private to mention.
By voting for the 3 Tin League you would be assisting in:
Providing a continous support system for the members where they can interact with people in their age groups, make friends and learn about the importance of education and looking after yourself and the environment in general.
Stop child labour, teenage pregancies, substance abuse and potential prostitution.
Assist the 3 Tin League in getting a container as an office with basic office equipment and storage for our tins, kits. and equipment.
We are currently using some one elses offices when we need to do all our administration activities and this can be quite problematic at times.
Your vote will assist the 3 Tin League in assiting the members to make the best of what they have, look beyond their situations such poverty, which is the root of all evil and work hard for a better life.
That being said we would really apreciate your vote.
Thank you
The 3 Tin League

What a wonderful insight into three great organizations - well done to NIKE for organizing the competition and highlighting how so many women are bringing about social change in South Africa.
Let’s hope that others have been inspired.
Positive Heroes is a young NGO with our stories of hope reaching over a million people every six weeks. We operate with extremely limited funds and winning this competition would radically help us.
We are thrilled to be part of the competition and raising awareness for all the great causes involved.
Best wishes
Gavin
