Amy Rosslind

Once upon a time there was a little girl who loved to dance on the coffee table. Since then she has danced her way to the stages of the world, flying over the inevitable hurdles with enviable grace.

“Dance is poetry in motion and I intend on writing something beautiful.”

Amy Rosslind started dancing at age two. “I come from a family where performing and sport has always been part of our lives,” she says. “I had barely learned to walk when my older sister and I started putting on dance shows on our coffee table.”

Since then, she has made her mark.

Overcoming the competitiveness and pressure of professional dance, and discovering true joy and confidence. Her big break came in 2006 when she won the Nike ‘Dance to LA’ competition, and with it, the chance to work with Madonna’s acclaimed choreographer Jamie King. At age 20, she dances, studies full time, and runs her own entertainment company with her sister.

“I have an inexplicable passion for dance and cannot imagine myself doing anything else. Dance is my way of letting go, getting out, being free! No-one and nothing can get to me while I’m dancing.”

I am Amy Rosslind, a professional dancer & winner of the Nike Dance to LA.
