What was your very first memorable sporting moment?
In high school, I signed up for hockey with my best friend. Our first match didn’t go so well for me because I was so scared of being pummeled by the ball, I spent most of the time running away from it, instead of hitting it. After the game, my dear friend plonked me into the goals, without any sort of padding, and proceeded to klap balls at me non-stop. She would not let me leave until I had overcome my fear of the flying hockey ball. I was terrified as I tried to block her constant hits but to her credit, it did eventually work. Despite the bruises.

A focused mind.

What is your favourite sporting or motivational quote?
