Hello!
The past few weeks have been both stressful and exciting! I was in rehearsal day and night preparing for our preview performance of Count of Eight Entertainment’s ‘A New Perspective’ in Cape Town on the 4th July as well as the opening which opened in Grahamstown in the 7th July 2009!

After driving for 11 hours we eventually arrived in Grahamstown! We went straight to rehearsal and started advertising for A New Perspective. Our opening night went really well! And all the performers had a great time on stage and the audience loved the show! The next day we were all very excited to read our first review!
* National arts festival newspaper. Cue. Vol 23. No 8
“This provocative dance-drama lìves up to its risquè posters. It deals with social ills in urban cultures such as drug use, child abuse and teenage pregnancy. The choreography is immaculate, with polished costume changes. The entire show reads like a theatrical music video and is bound to give you goose bumps.”

I am back home now, and we are preparing for our run of A New Perspective in Cape Town. I will keep you all posted on when and where the show will be running! Hope to see you all there!
I am also in the process of planning my 21st! I can’t wait!
Have a great week!

We only have a few more weeks left before the opening night of ‘A New Perspective’ in Grahamstown! I can’t wait to perform alongside such passionate dancers. Long hours and a lot of hard work has gone into the production and I am that it will pay off.

At the end of the week I will be attending the opening of the new Nike Store in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. I am eager to see what the store will look like as the concept behind it is awesome! (Check out their Facebook profile: Nsw Cape Town)
I am also working on two other projects; one is an independent hip hop documentary filmed and produced by Mikhail Howitz. He has already interviewed some of Cape Town’s very own legendary hip hop figures and has captured awesome footage of some of the best! The other is a first for me and I am keen to learn as much as I can! I will be singing for producer Ryan Murgatroyd!!! He is very talented and I am excited to see what the finished product will sound like! I have my first recording session with him Wednesday morning! I’m nervous!
Have a good week!

Hi Everyone,
It has been a while since I last wrote as I have been very busy! Count of Eight Entertainment (C.O.E) will be taking ‘A New Perspective’ – our very own production to the Grahamstown Festival in July later this year, so our rehearsal schedule is rather hectic!
Tracy-Lee Rosslind, co-owner of C.O.E, and I have been in an out of meetings over the past few weeks trying to get sponsorship for our production, but getting funding for this project hasn’t been easy! We hope to get enough sponsorship to at least pay the performers, who are all under the age of 25! They have worked exceptionally hard and I am sure that the show is going to be a great success!

I recently performed at the Nike head-office in Johannesburg, where I watched an awesome presentation on the new Nike apparel – most impressive! Nike never ceases to amaze me always coming out fresh ideas and amazing product, both flattering and funky!
Oh, I forgot to add that I also met Blaze from South Africa’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and “High School Musical” at the Nike event! I was rather star-struck for a while!

This past few weeks have been hectic! I had a show in Cape Town on Saturday, 29 November and I performed at the Seventeen Magazine Top Teen Achiever’s Awards in Jo’burg on Tuesday, 2 December! Which meant rehearsing with my dancers at Count of Eight every night the previous week as well!
I also taught a heavy class at the Nike Media Launch last Thursday at our studio in Obs. I hope everyone who participated enjoyed it! The class was tiring but I had so much fun and got to meet some awesome people! Also, our company Count of Eight Entertainment hosted open auditions on Saturday, 6 December for singers, dancers, actors, poets and models! The auditions ran all day and it was a big one! (Visit the Count of Eight facebook page by clicking here.)
Anyways, I’m off to my next rehearsal! Have a wonderful week everyone!
Peace, Love and Unity
